It works none the less. Essentially, it's a power cord for a child's educational gaming system. It's not Monster Cable® quality and, unless i'm entirely mistaken, it seems as though it was never meant to be. The system boots, the games play, etc. For all intents and purposes, I can't find any difference between this adapter and the one that came in the v.smile box.
My kids love to play with this toy and its educational. They can play many hours.
This is perfect to save you from having to dole out hundred's of $$ worth of batteries to keep your kiddo's V-Smile running. I found a lot of reviews from people who said their V-Smiles broke, but it seems the people using adapters versus batteries didn't have the issues.
It's a no brainer. After draining the first set of batteries, i was on Amazon to order the adapter. It came quickly, and I refused to load in another set of batteries. Done Deal.Easy Breezy.
AH an adapter that runs off electricity. Are you kidding me. A small investment now with a little electricity usage (not always my electricity) and it starts paying for it's self in no time. The V-Smiles batteries are dead AGAIN. That does it I've got to figure out something to stop the money drainage. This was a no brainer. BUY IT
